Would You Hug a Stranger?

In this age of social disconnectivity and lack of human contact, the effects of the Free Hugs campaign became phenomenal. The campaign is an example of a random act of kindness, a selfless act performed by someone for the sole reason of making others feel better. It involves individuals who offer hugs to strangers in public settings. Juan Mann is such a nice guy!

The original video clip has received a largely positive reaction on YouTube, with over 65,200 ratings at an average of 4/5 stars, and more than 18.2 million page views, making it the 18th most viewed video of all time on the site. According to the video summary, it was recorded in Sydney, Australia. Soundtrack is provided by Sick Puppies (the song is called "All the Same"), an Australian band that Mann met a year earlier.

The idea then started expanding all over the World. Canada, Netherlands, Sweden, Korea and others were soon to follow. What we then witness is the true spirit of humanity come together in what can only be described as awe inspiring! If you don't feel like leaving a comment, at least take this poll:

*hugs*
